To submit an event to our calendar please fill out the following form. Descriptions should be written in sentence format and should include the time, date and place of the event along with costs, if applicable, and a information about the event. Please make sure all required fields are filled out, including a phone number and a street address with zip code (this will map your event). Categories that this event would be included under need to be marked before approval. If an event series exceeds 90 consecutive days, please submit them in groups no longer than 90 days. Events submitted to the calendar may also be included in the print version of The Times. Due to a high volume of submitted events, it is not possible to guarantee that an event will run or provide the date of publication.
Example event description:
The Van Buren Missionary Baptist Church, 2585 Van Buren St., Gary, will celebrate Black History Month with a fashion show and dinner beginning at 3 p.m. Feb. 15. The celebration will conclude at 4 p.m. Feb. 22 with guest speaker Ryan Gardner, featuring the Van Buren church youth. All are invited.
