Hope rally | Munster
A benefit concert to help Munster's flood victims will take place at 5:30 p.m. today at Family Christian Center, 340 W. 45th St. Community churches, political leaders and business leaders have put together the event.

The United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church of Hammond will sponsor a Sunday dinner and bazaar from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at the church, 6635 Hohman Ave. Cost is $6 for lunch. Girl Talk | Gary
The Ross Family Doctors of Tatum, 1619 W. 5th Ave., are hosting Girl Talk from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 17. Dr. Rebekkah Ross and Dr. Rachael Ross are entering into their fourth year of reaching out to girls ages 9 to 17 to help them in the growing process from childhood into womanhood. The teaching sessions cover topics from grooming, safety, cooking, career choices and life skills that will help girls develop into mature, healthy, successful young women.
