Purdue University Calumet offers a comprehensive program for a wide-ranging student population seeking educational opportunities for professional certificates, bachelor's and master's degrees.

"Many of our students take classes part time while juggling family and full-time jobs. Without compromising course academic integrity, our professors help students who make these sacrifices to earn degrees," says Wes Lukoshus, assistant vice chancellor for advancement.

New requirements that all bachelor-degree students complete two courses in experiential learning have resulted in 120 new or revised courses.

"Experiential learning integrates traditional learning and applied learning in a real world, job-related setting," says Lukoshus; therefore, the program must follow principals set by the National Society for Experiential Learning. - JDK
