Round the Clock restaurants are known as the place to go in the Region for a generous, economical meal, no matter the time of day. The family-owned eatery is celebrating the 40th year of its Schererville location this year.
“We like to stay true to what we are,” says Rin Alexiades, marketing manager. “We’re a diner-style restaurant with a large menu. We’re very focused on value. We know it’s a luxury for families and seniors to dine out.”
For seniors there’s a large menu of dinners priced at $8.99. “They get a lot of food for that price. They can eat a whole meal and have leftovers to take home,” says Alexiades.
A customer favorite is the lemon rice soup, made from the same recipe for 40 years. “We serve it every day with our homemade rolls that are made around the clock and always hot and fresh from the oven,” says Alexiades.
“It’s so humbling to be awarded this,” says Alexiades. “We work hard at everything we do every day in our family business. We feel we’ve created a happy place for families and a consistent place where you know you’re going to be greeted with a smile and you know what kind of food you’re going to get.”
