At 10 p.m. Northwoods transforms from a full-service restaurant into a night club bursting with entertainment options. Owner Jeff Fryzel said it's an inviting place where everybody hangs out.
"We're the largest club in the area and we provide the best entertainment."
The fun atmosphere includes the full log building, fireplaces, a 7,000-square-foot outdoor deck, two-acre pond and more than a dozen TVs for sporting events.
Tuesdays are open mic night. Wednesdays are college night with video DJ and karaoke. Thursdays are country night featuring country bands and video DJs playing all country music. On Fridays and Saturdays big name bands, usually from Chicago, perform.
Theme parties also draw a big crowd, Fryzel said, whether it is a red Solo cup party, pajama party or half way to St. Patrick's Day party. For each of the theme nights, the entire bar is decorated, the staff dresses up and customers can dress up as well.
"For example on our little black dress party all of the female servers and bartenders are dressed in black dresses and all males are in tuxedos. For our beach party we fill the place with sand and everyone is in beach attire," Fryzel says. "It's always a fun place to go."
