Boz Hot Dogs
A quality product and fresh condiments have put Boz Hot Dogs at the top of the Best of the Region's list for years.
A loyal fan base keeps coming back for the dogs, and also popular items like the Italian beef, Polish sausage and nachos, said franchise owner Nancy Kennedy.
Kennedy, who owns the Griffith and Dyer locations, said they are the only two in Indiana. She has owned the stores since 1985 and '87 and said her favorite part is meeting the customers and watching employees grow up.
"Employees come back who are now in their 40s. They come back to say hello," she said.
It's not just the employees who come back. With more than 40 years in the Chicagoland area, Boz gets a lot of repeat customers.
"They walk in and we know what they're getting," she said.
