Raymundo Garcia, whose family has owned El Taco Real for 38 years, says the key to his restaurant's success has come from love. "I think it's because myself and my staff, we really love what we do. The hardest thing about being good at anything is if you see it as a chore, you don't look forward to it, you're not going to excel and do it right. I just love what I do. You come into my restaurant and you give me the opportunity to participate in this intimate act in your life, eating. I get to sit people in what I consider my living room, and I get to feed hungry people. Once you come here, you're going to be a regular because we're good at it. We make everything from scratch in an honest kitchen, nothing from a jar, fresh vegetables, fresh meats, dried grains, the old-fashioned way. We're still having fun," Garcia says.
