Aurelio's Pizza first began as a small, four-table restaurant in Homewood, Ill. More than 50 years later, the restaurant has expanded to 43 locations in six states.
"We have a little bit of a unique model because our restaurants are family pizzerias," said Kirk Mauiello, director of franchise for the company. "They're designed for a family to come and enjoy a nice night out."
Known for its Chicago-style pizza, Aurelio's also has several specialty pizzas, sandwiches and pasta. Mauiello says it's a great honor to be recognized by readers.
"It's something we strive for to bring our customers the best quality product with the best ingredients for a great value," he said.
