"It brings people out of their homes to get involved with each other," Mayor David Uran said. "Crown Point's downtown is also considered a destination for people to tour the Old Lake County Courthouse, Old Sheriff's House, Old Homestead, and several nearby historic districts."
As part of the ongoing efforts to sustain the City of Crown Point's downtown, the Mayor's Office of Special Events hosts fabulous seasonal celebrations and outstanding community events including the St. Patrick's Night Time Parade, City Wide Picnic, Kid's and Kites, YMCA Hub Run, Dog Days of Summer, Oktoberfest and the Winter Market. Major regional events including the LPGA Futures Tour and the NSA World Series have also enjoyed the many benefits of Crown Point's downtown and hospitality.
