Chicago's culture, infrastructure, restaurants, museums and sports teams make the city a unique - and favorite - place to live.

"Chicago offers something for everyone - it is truly a global city, with a depth and diversity in not only its people, but in lifestyle options," says Rita Athas, president of World Business Chicago.

Known as an "urban value," Chicago has a cost of living lower than several other major cities, including New York, San Francisco, Boston, and Washington, D.C.

More than 600 stores line Michigan Avenue and its surrounding streets, and the city is home to 10 professional sports teams. Chicago has more than 35 museums, and a 3,700-mile public transit network of trains and buses makes it easy to travel the city.

"Whether your interest is in music, sports, food, museums, parks, theater, higher education or creative culture, the city is second to none," Athas says.
