St. Mary's Pastor Theodore J. Mens said he is blessed with a dedicated staff and many volunteers who put in extra time because it comes from their hearts and their love of God.
Volunteers staff the church festival in August and parents raise school funds through Bingo and other events. "We have a wonderful group of volunteers who work on improving the environment in our church and on our grounds," Mens said. A traditional Catholic Church providing a place of serenity, St. Mary's still has some of the original statutes from the 1920's and 1950's.
The church is open all day for people to pray. Church groups include Sodality, the Men's Club, choir, School Advisory Board, scouts, liturgy commission, and a garden club. "We try to be very welcoming when people come to register," Mens said. "We are always available to our parishioners."
