Its vibrant community life revolves around the downtown district, with almost every major celebration and citywide activity taking place there. "It brings people out of their homes to get involved with each other," Mayor David Uran says. "We're very family-oriented, and we're a very safe community." The progress Crown Point has achieved in the last couple of years has been exciting and gratifying, but town leaders won't ever consider their job finished; the city recently started revitalizing and adding to its parks and sports complex options, all devised without any tax increase for Crown Point citizens.
