For It's Just Serendipity owner Karen Maravilla, the love for antiques began when she was just a young girl growing up.
"My grandfather had an antique/used furniture store in south Chicago...so you could say that antiques, treasures, and "junking" are in my blood!" chuckles Maravilla, who opened the one of a kind store back in September of 2009.
Beautifully blending the past with the present, It's Just Serendipity attracts customers from all across the Midwest region.
"It gives us great joy when customers leave our store with the "perfect" find or gift!" says Maravilla, who also serves as President of the Downtown Hammond Council/DHC. "We often help our customers decorate their home or office with a mixture of new, vintage, and handmade creations."
