There are a lot of questions heading into the 2016 season for the Fighting Irish. Chief among them is who will play quarterback.
Head coach Brian Kelly has been coy with the media and seems to be in no rush to make a decision between Malik Zaire, who started the 2015 season behind center, and DeShone Kizer, who took over for Zaire in the second game of the season after Zaire went down to injury.
But there are several holes to fill from a team that went 10-3 in 2015 with losses to Clemson, Stanford and Ohio State. Those 3 teams finished the 2015 season ranked second, third and fourth in the final AP rankings.
Rebuilding is not a word often thrown around at Notre Dame. Just ask former head coach Charlie Weis.
And now with Kelly in his seventh year at the helm of the Irish, rebuilding is a word that can be safely socked away. He's had continually top-notch recruiting classes with a proven record of player development.
