AFTER THE GAME

Greg Tagert: "Our concern before the game was facing Salazar and Osvaldo certainly did his part. If I was told before the game that Osvaldo would give us six-plus with two runs, I'd have thought we'd been in pretty good shape. We just have not, and give Salazar credit you don't want to discount that, but this series, three games in Sioux Falls, three games in Lincoln and this, we haven't put it together consistently. We're seeing a flash here and there, Sunday we break out big, last night with 12 hits, but again, with the type of club we have the lack of extra-base hits. Although we start off with the double and don't do anything with it, that changes a lot of the game right there. The bottom line is for us to stay in this thing, against a lot of other clubs, especially the ones that swing it a little differently and at their ballparks, where the St. Pauls and Fargos and Wichitas where runs come a little easier, we're going to have to do our part offensively. We just haven't been strong in that category the last couple weeks and it showed in the win-losses. The pitching staff has been terrific, and we want to take advantage of that and some of these environments are going to be a little different."
