GARY | The RailCats welcome Winnipeg to U.S. Steel Yard for the final series of the 11-game home stand. Coming to town with the Goldeyes is former RailCat and Hammond High grad Mike Coles, who signed with the Canadian team on June 20.

The RailCats eight-game winning streak is closing in on the franchise high of nine straight, set twice in the last six years (July 15-24, 2011 and July 29-Aug. 6, 2008).

Tonight's lineup:

Winnipeg Goldeyes (20-18)

LF Mike Coles

2B Nick Liles

RF Josh Mazzola

1B Casey Hearther

DH Leonard Davis

CF Fehlandt Lentini

C Luis Alen

3B Amos Ramon

SS Nate Samson

LHP Mark Hardy (4-2, 2.79 ERA)

RailCats (24-15)

LF Adam Klein

RF Mike Massaro

DH Cristian Guerrero

C Craig Maddox

1B Danny Pulfer

3B Brian Kolb

CF Drew Martinez

SS Zac Mitchell

2B Chase Tucker

LHP Ari Ronick (3-3, 4.57 ERA)

The RailCats are facing a left-handed pitcher with five lefties in the lineup. The Goldeyes put just one lefty in against Ronick (Leonard Davis).

After singing the national anthem, the rain began and following a nearly two-hour delay, it was postponed. A double-header of two seven-inning games will be played Saturday.

Manager Greg Tagert said he won't guarantee the same lineup tomorrow, depending on which pitchers the Goldeyes opt to throw.

Ronick will start game two while scheduled Saturday starter Will Krout will start game one.
