GARY | The RailCats are 1-3 in games three they've played against Fargo-Moorhead, winning the first (and only) in 2005.
Only in 2006 did the RailCats and RedHawks not play Game 3 in Gary, because despite winning home-field advantage, Fargo-Moorhead prefers to open postseason series at home.
The RailCats left North Dakota with a 1-1 series tie, having lost the first game 2-0 and then won the second 11-2. In four previous postseason matchups, the RailCats scored double-digit runs against F-M only one other time: a 12-4 win in Game 4 in 2005.
The RailCats have only lost in the first round of the playoffs once: against Fargo-Moorhead in 2010.
The 'Cats are 4-1 in playoff series when they've lost the first game, the only loss to Fargo-Moorhead in 2010.
