The RailCats have declined the contract options on six players, including long-time infielders Mike Rohde and Chris Carrara.

The team also declined the options on right-handed pitchers Andrew Johnston, Nolan Nicholson and Alberto Rolon. The option on outfielder Eric Suttle, who finished the season with the RailCats, was also declined.

By declining the contract options, the players are now free agents and able to negotiate with any team in any league, including the RailCats.

Rohde, Carrara and Nicholson were expected to retire at the end of the season, but a release by the team said that the trio was still contemplating their future in the game. Suttle joined the German team in the World Baseball Classic qualifying round and went 5-for-15 with an RBI.
