While many people have good intentions when they work out, some need a little guidance. At Midwest Fitness and Training Studios, 10600 White Oak Ave., Dyer, fitness director Tina Sena conducts small group training with no more than eight people per session.
“This is a teaching facility where we teach people how to do each exercise the right way,” said Sena. “It’s important that our participants feel safe, comfortable and welcome.” Midwest Fitness and Training Studios also offers educational seminars, she added.
Small group classes include strength training, spin, box and burn, cardio coaching, yoga and Pilates, barre, and Powerfit advanced barbell-based workouts. Sena noted that Midwest Fitness and Training Studios was among the earliest gyms in Northwest Indiana to use heart rate monitors during fitness classes.
Sena, who brings more than 20 years of experience in fitness, emphasized that not only are the workouts personalized, but the service and attention are, too. “People are really excited to come here. They feel motivated, empowered and accomplished.”
