The head of an Indianapolis-based energy co-operative believes exploring for oil in northern Indiana is another step in the company's evolution. CountryMark Chief Executive Officer Charlie Smith tells Inside INdiana Business returning to areas that previously produced oil is not a guarantee of economic success. He says the company is hoping for a roughly 30 percent success rate, which is approximately three times the national level. Smith says it is all part of the game oil companies play.

 

Crane Workers Planning Protest

Notre Dame to Join ACC Early

The University of Notre Dame says all of its athletic programs except football and hockey will join the Atlantic Coast Conference beginning with the 2013-2014 seasons. The school has been in the Big East Conference in most sports since 1995.
