Indiana State University hopes to turn its unmanned aerial systems minor into a four-year bachelor's degree program. Principal Investigators Richard Baker and Jeff Hauser say while the technology is commonly associated with military use, it has civilian and commercial applications as well. In an Inside INdiana Business Television interview, they say the school is looking to partner with businesses and other universities in hopes of developing a more widespread program.
Plan For South Bend Brewery Clears Hurdle
A proposal to start a new brewery in South Bend is moving forward. Sean Meehan, who owns Fiddler's Hearth restaurant in the city, has received a favorable recommendation from the Area Board of Zoning Appeals on an exemption to open Crooked Ewe Brewery and Ale House in an old VFW hall.
Greene County Mine Ahead of Schedule
Texas-based VHGI Holdings Inc. says its mine in Greene County will begin shipping coal ahead of schedule. The company says the Landree Mine will ship its first delivery to Indianapolis Power and Light Co. this month.
