Old National Posts Huge Profit Increase
Evansville–based Old National Bancorp is reporting fourth quarter net income of $22.2 million, which is nearly three times larger than the same quarter last year. Chief Executive Officer Bob Jones says he's especially pleased with the results considering expenses related to the FDIC–assisted acquisition of Integra Bank.

Indianapolis–based Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has promoted Michael O'Brien to vice president. He has been with the communications firm since 2006 and is a former legislative director for Gov. Mitch Daniels.
Daniels Signs Human Trafficking Bill
Gov. Mitch Daniels has signed human trafficking legislation into law. Attorney General Greg Zoeller says the regulations, which take effect immediately, close loopholes and give law enforcement the "tools they need to crack down" on the trafficking of young victims.

A high–profile business contest is marking its 25th year. Purdue University says the Burton D. Morgan Business Plan Competition is set for February 21. Students from the university will compete for $100,000 in prizes.
Military Boosts Whitley County Company Contract
ERAPSCO Inc. in Columbia City has received a $38 million modification to a military contract. The U.S. Navy has exercised an option for more than 50,000 sonobuoys. More than half the work will be done in Whitley County.
