A new business accelerator in southern Indiana is looking for five early-stage companies for its first round of investments and mentoring services. Velocity Indiana Managing Director Tony Schy says the funding is coming from New Albany-based Blue Sky Foundation Inc. and Ogle Foundation Inc. in Jeffersonville. Schy says his long-term goal is to provide a "broad array" of services outside of the accelerator program.

Purdue Research Park-based M4 Sciences LLC has landed a second deal with a Belgium-based manufacturer. The deal with NV Bekaert SA allows the global steel wire maker to access M4's patents and machining technology systems.

Frontier Fares no Longer on Expedia
Frontier Airlines says its schedules and fares are no longer available on Expedia.com. The carrier, which is owned by Indianapolis-based Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: RJET), says it was unable to reach an agreement to continue offering its services on the online travel agency's website.
IPFW Extends Program in Dominican Republic
Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne will continue to help operate a health care program in Central America. The school has signed a five-year extension to a Memorandum of Understanding with a university in the Dominican Republic.
Lilly Endowment Awards INHP Large Grant
The Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership has landed a $6.3 Million Lilly Endowment Inc. grant. INHP says the money will go toward foreclosure prevention services, community enhancement initiatives and operational funding for up to a dozen affiliated corporations.
Franchitti Featured on Indy 500 Ticket
