Indiana Caverns near Corydon is part of the Binkley Cave System, which is the largest in the state and the 11th longest in the country. President Gary Roberson is hoping to draw families and educational groups from throughout Indiana and the Midwest when tours begin in mid-June. He spoke about the cave system on Inside INdiana Business Television.

 

Wind Farm Developer Asks For Modifications

The Colorado-based developer proposing a $300 million wind farm is asking for several changes to its agreement with the Tipton County Board of Zoning Appeals. juwi Wind North America LLC is seeking adjustments to the property value protection plan, as well as the total number and location of wind turbines.

 

Million Dollar Effort Will Improve Basketball Courts

The Indianapolis Parks Foundation has announced a major initiative to renovate or upgrade outdoor basketball courts throughout the city. The project is being supported by a $1.1 million donation from the city of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Power & Light Co. and the Pacers Foundation.

Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne will break ground Wednesday on a new phase of its downtown arts campus. Mayor Tom Henry will take part in the ceremony for ArtsLab, which the organization says will be a "flexible creative space" for the community.

A northern Indiana organization made up of senior services providers and educators has opened offices on the campus of Holy Cross College. The Michiana Gerontology Institute is a partnership between the college and the Gerontology Consortium of Michiana.

 

Purdue to Host Great Lakes Research Event

Purdue University will host the annual Conference on Great Lakes Research next month. The school expects up to 700 people to attend the event, which will be held at Purdue for the first time.

 

Union Ratifies New Deal With Vectren Unit

A unit of Evansville-based Vectren Corp. has reached a deal with its employee-members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702. The new three-year labor agreement covers approximately 300 workers.
