Indianapolis-based Republic Airways Holdings Inc. has announced a deal with American Airlines. The agreement calls for Republic to operate more than 50 jets under the American Eagle name. Service is expected to begin in June.

Richmond-based Reid Hospital & Health Services is expanding services in Greenville, Ohio, which is just across the state line. The health care provider has closed on a deal for property that will become the new home of its Bethel Cardiology operation and allow for the expansion of other services.

Legendary Artist's Work Coming to Indy Museum

Hill-Rom Reports Lower Profit
Batesville-based Hill-Rom Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HRC) is reporting fiscal first quarter net income of $24 million, compared to $32.9 million for the same period the previous year. Chief Executive Officer John Greisch says despite the decline, the company's earnings were ahead of expectations.
IU East Reports Record Enrollment
Indiana University East is reporting record enrollment of nearly 3,900 students for the spring semester. The school says this is the 15th consecutive semester the student population has increased.
Leading Index Posts Slight Increase
The Indiana Business Research Center says the Leading Index for Indiana for January rose slightly compared to December. Despite the increase, IBRC Director of Economic Analysis Tim Slaper says a dip in consumer confidence means economic pessimism "can still be justified."
