Purdue researcher developing 'RoboDesk'

A Purdue University educator is developing technology designed to improve mobile device access for people with disabilities. Brad Duerstock's "RoboDesk" uses a wheel chair-mounted arm, which deploys or retracts a tray holding a mobile device.

 

Job fair planned for Corydon

A hiring event is set for next month in Southeast Indiana. The annual Ninth Congressional District Job Fair is planned for Sept. 5 in Corydon.

 

Chamber to present economic outlook

The Chamber of Commerce of Harrison County will host a Labor Day Economic Outlook program. Indiana University East Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Uric Dufrene will deliver the presentation at next month's event.

 

State to report July unemployment numbers

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development will release the state's July employment report Monday morning. June's jobless rate was 8.5 percent, up from 8.3 percent the previous month.
