Hoosier cities land FEMA funding

The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded big grants to three Indiana cities. The Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response money will help Terre Haute, Anderson and Hammond hire additional fire fighters.

IU Kokomo to host finalists for chancellor

Indiana University Kokomo has narrowed the search for a new chancellor to four. The candidates will begin visiting the campus next week. Susan Sciame-Giesecke, who has served in the role on an interim basis since 2012, is among the finalists.

Auer Foundation announces grants

The Fort Wayne-based Edward D. and Ione Auer Foundation has announced recipients of more than a dozen grants. The funds range from $5,000 to $1 million and involve arts, media and children's organizations.

Career Fair coming to Northeast Indiana

A jobs event is set for next week in Angola. The Steuben County Career & Job Fair will feature 20 employers in hospitality, education, manufacturing and agribusiness.
