At least two Indiana banks are listed in Forbes' annual review of the nation's 100 largest publicly held financial institutions. The publication ranks the banks based on factors including net interest margin and loan performance.

An Illinois-based information technology company has opened in the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana. Competitive Support Options Inc. says the Merrillville office should help the IT support company expand its customer base in Indiana.
Remy announces leadership change
Pendleton-based Remy International Inc. has a new chief executive officer. Jay Pittas has moved into the role of president and CEO after John Weber stepped down. Weber will continue to be a member of the company's board of directors.
Amazon anticipates more growth in Jeffersonville
The new Amazon.com Inc. distribution center in Jeffersonville is already poised for growth. The News and Tribune reports the company plans to use the remainder of its capacity in the River Ridge Commerce Center this summer. The facility started with around 900 full-time workers in October and now has more than 1,100.
Swift Fuels strikes German deal
A Purdue Research Park company developing a new aviation fuel has acquired 50 percent interest in a German firm. The deal allows Germany-based Swift Fuel GmbH to license the technology from Swift Fuels LLC in West Lafayette.
Merger creates new auto finance company
A Carmel-based automotive remarketing finance company has merged with a Georgia firm. The combination of Indiana-based Dealer Services Corp. and Manheim Automotive Financial Services has led to the creation of NextGear Capital. Former Dealer Services President Brian Geitner will serve in the same role with the new company.
Carmel company opening Kansas office
A Hoosier technology company is expanding to Kansas. Carmel-based Telamon Corp. plans to invest around $500,000 and open a Kansas City office, which could employ close to 30 workers over the next five years.
Deaconess to sponsor college basketball tournaments
An Evansville-based health system will serve as title sponsor of upcoming college basketball tournaments at the Ford Center. The 2013 Deaconess GLVC Men's and Women's Basketball Championship Tournaments in March will feature 16 teams from throughout the country.
Berry Plastics loss narrows
Evansville-based Berry Plastics Group Inc. is reporting a fiscal first quarter loss of $10 million, compared to a loss of $31 million for the same period a year earlier. Chief Executive Officer Jon Rich says the smaller loss is partly due to aggressive cost reductions and manufacturing improvements.
Northeast Indiana nonprofit to receive record donation
The Steuben County Community Foundation is set to announce what it calls the largest-ever gift to the Angola-based organization. President Jennifer Danic says the donation will provide funding to three local agencies.
