ATI Physical Therapy has acquired Motion Hand & Physical Therapy, a 10-clinic private practice with five of those clinics in Northwest Indiana.
As of Oct. 1, the clinics adopted the ATI Physical Therapy name, according to the company. The company also acquired locations in Illinois and Ohio.
“Motion has an excellent reputation in the hand and occupational therapy arena and we are thrilled to welcome the staff and patients from these clinics to the ATI family,” said Jason Hafner, senior vice president of ATI Physical Therapy, in a statement.
“With the support and resources of ATI, these clinics will continue to thrive by offering the highest quality hand and physical therapy in a truly unique environment,” he said.
The clinicians will remain at the sites, which include Munster, Lowell, Valparaiso and two in Merrillville, as well as in nearby Homewood.
The orthopedic rehabilitation company, which operates more than 190 clinics in seven states, specializes in physical therapy, hand therapy, sports medicine, women's health, aquatic therapy and work conditioning/hardening.
“ATI’s commitment to patients, employees and the community is impressive“, said Paul and Jayne Dederichs, founders of Motion Hand & Physical Therapy. “We are excited our team has joined a company who shares the same core values as Motion.”
