The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has scheduled three health care reform seminars in August, designed to provide employers with information as they determine how to proceed.
The employer mandate of the federal Affordable Care Act has been delayed one year, but employers need to be prepared for the eventual implementation.
The workshops, presented by Apex Benefits Group and Ice Miller LLP, will include such topics as health insurance exchanges, determining who works more than 30 hours a week, financial exposure to employees and developing an employee health strategy to align with the business strategy.
The first seminar will take place from 9 a.m.- noon EDT Aug. 16 at the University of St. Francis Performing Arts Center in Fort Wayne. The cost for Indiana Chamber/Fort Wayne Chamber members is $199. Non-members pay $229.
The second seminar is set for 9 am.- noon CDT, Aug. 21, at Johnson Hall, Deaconess Hospital Campus in Evansville. The cost for chamber members is $199. Non-members pay $229.
The third seminar is scheduled for 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. EDT Aug. 23 at the Westin Indianapolis in Indianapolis. The cost is $299 for chamber members and $329 for non-members.
A company sending one attendee may send a second for half price. For more information or to register, visit www.indianachamber.com/conferences or call (800) 824-6885.
