KNOX | The former president of Indiana University Health Starke Hospital is returning to the job in an interim capacity.

Linda Satkoski, who served as hospital president from July 2009 to May 2012, will return to the position, following the resignation of former interim president Jared Beasley.

Satkoski’s appointment was approved by both the IU Health Starke Hospital Board of Directors and the Starke County Community Advisory Board.

“We couldn't be happier with Linda’s return to Knox,” said Sandy Hansen, president of the community advisory board, in a news release. “Linda is invested in our community and highly devoted to improving the health of area residents.”

During her previous tenure at the hospital, more than 80 physicians were added to the medical staff and millions of dollars were invested in new technology.

In addition to her interim role in Knox, Satkoski will continue her duties as chief operating officer at partner facility IU Health La Porte Hospital.
