KNOX | Indiana University Health Starke Hospital named Craig Felty as its new president.

Felty served as interim administrator of the Knox hospital since December, when Linda Satkoski retired. Before that, he had served as executive director of patient care services since 2011.

Felty brings more than 25 years of patient care and health care management experience to the position. He has worked as patient care manager of the Mitchell Emergency Department at the University of Chicago Medical Center, critical care transport nurse for an ambulance service in Illinois and director of emergency services for Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest.

Previously, he served as the assistant chief flight nurse for University of Chicago Hospitals and manager of aeromedical services for Loyola University Medical Center.

He also has experience in neonatal and pediatric transport, as a trauma nurse, in legal nurse consulting and in volunteer firefighting.

He holds an MBA with a health care focus from Western Governors University. He also received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Purdue University Calumet in Hammond.
