PORTAGE | AARP Indiana and the Senior Medicare Patrol will host Senior Health Care: What’s Ahead? on Sept. 18 at Woodland Park Social Center, 2100 Willowcreek Road.

The event is aimed at answering questions about the Affordable Care Act and Medicare and educating people about how to protect themselves from fraud and scams.

It also will feature informational resources from participants such as the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), the Attorney General's Office and the Council on Aging.

The event will last from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include lunch.
