A job far will take place in Gary on Friday for both full- and part-time positions.

Indiana Manpower Placement and Comprehensive Training will host the Community Connection "We Have Jobs" job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Division of Family Resources, 110 W. Ridge Road, in Gary. Organizers say jobs will be available in manufacturing, health care and sales, as well as at local casinos and staffing agencies.

Employers slated to attend include Econo Lodge, Franciscan Health, Horseshoe Casino, Lake County government, Majestic Star Casino, National Facility Service, Performance Plus, Sebo's, TELE-PERFORMANCE, The Premier Group and Tradebe Environmental.

"Please dress professionally," organizers said in statement. "Participating employers want to see job seekers dressed professionally and with multiple copies of your resume. Please do not wear inappropriate clothing to the hiring event."

The job fair is open to adults 18 years or older. Children are not allowed, and job seekers are encouraged to find a babysitter or some other child care arrangement if necessary.
