For the third year in a row, NiSource Inc. has been designated one of the "World's Most Ethical Companies" by the Ethisphere Institute.

NiSource was one of 143 companies from 30 different countries recognized by Ethisphere for promoting ethical business standards.

“We don’t take this distinction for granted,” NiSource President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Skaggs Jr. said. “This is a significant achievement, recognizing our commitment to ethical leadership, compliance practices and corporate social responsibility.”

NiSource is an energy holding company headquartered in Merrillville with 3.8 million customers. It is the parent company of NIPSCO.

Ethisphere is a New York-based independent center for best practices in corporate ethics. Companies are named to its "most ethical" list after a review of their ethics and compliance programs; reputation, leadership and innovation; governance; and corporate citizenship and responsibility.
