Urban League to provide free tax service

GARY | The Urban League of Northwest Indiana will provide free income tax services for anyone earning less than $50,000 a year.

The service is available from noon to 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at the offices of the Urban League of Northwest Indiana, 3101 Broadway, Gary.

Certified tax preparers are volunteering their services for those who are income eligible.

People from Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties can come directly to the Urban League office without an appointment or call (219) 887-9621 and ask to speak to Diane.
