Lafayette's Wabash National Corp. has received a large order from Con-Way Truckload. The company says Con-Way has agreed to purchase more than 1,200 DuraPlate HD trailers.

Kite releases projections for 2008

Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group Trust says it expects 2008 funds from operations in the range of $1.28 to $1.33 per share. Analysts say that could be below Wall Street's expectations. The company's stock was down about $0.14 in midday trading.

Homework hot line provides online tutoring

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Homework Hot Line is providing online, real-time tutoring to help students who need help with math and science. Middle and high school students can send questions as an e-mail or talk directly to a Rose-Hulman student tutor. About 30 tutors are available each night.

Bill would require more extensive labels

State Sen. Vi Simpson, D-Ellettsville, has filed legislation that is meant to help protect Hoosiers from potentially harmful products. The measure would prohibit stores from selling products unless the package has a label that displays the country of origin. Labels also would have to list any toxic materials present in the product. The bill has not yet received a hearing.

Marsh to celebrate conversion of 3 stores

Marsh Supermarkets, Inc. says it will celebrate the conversion of three stores into Marsh Hometown Markets on Thursday. The first 200 customers at each of the three locations will receive a $5 Marsh gift card. Two of the stores are former LoBill Foods in Kokomo and Lebanon. The other store was a Marsh in Kokomo. The company is also launching two special customer programs at the three stores, aimed at new parents and senior citizens.

Children's hospital marks 5 years

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis is marking its fifth anniversary. Patients at the hospital were given gifts Tuesday as part of a birthday celebration. Officials say the hospital has grown in the past five years by adding various specialties and extending its services to Carmel.
