The Indiana Office of Energy & Defense Development and General Motors Corp. (NYSE: GM) will hold a biofuels panel discussion next month in Jefferson. It is one of several events planned for the I-65 Biofuels Corridor completion. The corridor is the first national route of E85 ethanol and B20 gas stations reaching from Lake Michigan to the Gulf Coast. The panel discussion will focus on the biofuels infrastructure in Indiana and along I-65.
Top 10 company CFOs to address IU Kelley students
IU's Kelley School of Business has invited several executives who are responsible for managing the financial risks at some of the world's top companies to participate in its first CFO Roundtable. Ten chief financial officers from leading companies including Belgacom Group, Boston Scientific, Cummins Inc. and Hillenbrand are coming to IU Bloomington next month. The event aims at providing students with a rare opportunity to learn how finance and accounting concepts are applied at the highest levels of management.
Capital Group breaks ground on new Carmel campus
The Capital Group Companies broke ground on two additional buildings at its 24-acre campus in Carmel. The $50 million development, expected to be completed in 2010, will include a five-story office building and a mail processing center. The Capital Group partnered with TVS and Opus North on the project. Once fully developed, the campus will accommodate approximately 1,500 associates.
New Lincoln penny to feature Indiana
Indiana is featured in one of four new penny designs that mark the bicentennial of President Abraham Lincoln's birth and the 100th anniversary of production of the Lincoln cent. The four versions feature the president's formative years in Indiana, his professional life in Illinois, birth and childhood in Kentucky and his presidency in Washington. The first penny will be put into circulation on February 12.
