Real Estate Appraiser Joseph Wszolek, was recently reappointed to a two year term to serve on Indiana University's Human Subjects Committee. This committee is responsible for ensuring that any research studies conducted at the university meet the ethical and regulatory requirements for human subjects protections.

Debbie Walker, of Oceanside, Calif., of the Navy Dental Center, 1st Dental Battalion, was one of eight dental hygienists from across the U.S. who received the 2008 Sunstar/GUM "Healthy Gums, Healthy Life Award of Distinction." Walker is a former resident of Northwest Indiana.
