Sixty additional employees are expected to be hired. Earlier this year, CTBs completed a 75,000-square-foot expansion of its north central Indiana facilities. The company designs and manufactures a wide variety of systems and accessories for the poultry, pig, egg production and grain industries.

Horse racing track reaches finish line

An Evansville-area horse racing track is planning an unemployment seminar next week for its workers after the owner decided to close the facility. Ellis Park had been open for more than 80 years. Owner Ron Geary says he had to close because of a lack of available revenues. He says 90 percent of the park's revenues come from off-track, Internet and television broadcast wagering. The Kentucky Horsemens and Benevolent Association is not allowing the Ellis Park signal to be sent to advanced wagering outlets. The track is in Kentucky, even though it falls on the Indiana side of the Ohio River.
