Comcast Cable is closing its Lafayette call center December 1. Regional Vice President of Public Relations Mark Apple says the staff of 19 has been offered jobs at the company's Fishers location. Apple adds Comcast is realigning call center operations and focusing on three main facilities in Fishers, Fort Wayne and Bloomington.
Tough economy? Don't Tell Rose-Hulman
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute says although there's been plenty of talk about a declining economy, the college hasn't seen any drop-off in hiring interest. A record 213 companies and 554 recruiters from around the country are planning to attend the school's Fall Career Fair Wednesday. Thirty-three companies are coming to recruit at Rose-Hulman for the first time.
