MICHIGAN CITY | Blue Chip Casino Hotel has scheduled two job fairs, hoping to hire more than 200 people in anticipation of the January opening of its $130 million expansion project.
The extra workers will be needed to staff its new 302-room luxury hotel, new restaurants, lounges, convention center and spa.
The job fairs will be in Blue Chip's Grand Ballroom from 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. Oct. 29 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8. Applicants are encouraged to apply online at http://www.bluechipcasino.com and bring a resume. Information will be provided on benefits and positions available in the various departments at Blue Chip.

Jobs include food and beverage supervisory and culinary positions, hotel guest room and laundry attendants, concierge services, in-room dining servers, hotel guest service and supervisory personnel, maintenance engineers and spa personnel.
Positions are full-time, part-time, on-call and steady extra. Most of the jobs will start near the January opening date, but a few are available immediately.
