Four Winds casino plans drawings, events to celebrate anniversary

Four Winds Casino Resort celebrates its first anniversary Aug. 2.

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi opened the casino in August 2007 near New Buffalo, Mich.

It has provided more than $2.6 million in project funding to local charities and municipalities through its Pokagon Fund.

A Heads Up Poker Challenge is planned for Aug. 2 to celebrate the anniversary.

Cash prizes and a drawing for two Porsche Boxsters are planned for Aug. 17 and Aug. 31.

Chamber hosting Business After Hours

The Chicago Southland Chamber will host a Business After Hours at the new Kilwin's Old Fashion Ice Cream & Fudge Shoppe, 15222 LaGrange Road, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 7, 2008,

Besides networking, there will be entertainment, refreshments, appetizers, samples, raffle items and a 50/50 cash raffle.
