INDIANAPOLIS | Gov. Mitch Daniels has scheduled his fourth trip to Japan to promote business ties with that country.
Daniels is expected to meet with officials from more than a dozen Japanese companies during his trip the week of June 9. He is to return to Indiana on June 14.
Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Sony are among the companies the governor will meet with while in Tokyo and Nagoya. He'll be joined by state economic development officials and representatives of private companies sponsoring the trip.
Daniels says Indiana has several ongoing talks with Japanese companies that he believes could lead to jobs in the state.
The governor has made trips to Japan in 2005, 2006 and last year.
