Professionals on the move

Doctor Neil Wangstrom joined Indiana University Health La Porte Physicians and welcomes new patients at his La Porte office. Wangstrom provides diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, nose and throat. Family Nurse Practitioner Christine Maddox joins Wangstrom to provide comprehensive care. Joining Wangstrom is audiologist Jessica Barr, who offers experience for fitting and dispensing hearing aids.

Dennis Heaps, of Lowell, earned the designation of Certified Protection Professional by the Professional Certification Board  of the American Society for Industrial Security. Heaps is coordinator of NiSource's Security Operations Center, headquartered in Hammond.

Exit 1 Realty, which serves Norrthwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan, has named Jay Tenuta its March Agent of the Month.

The following Re/Max affiliates agents in Valparaiso were recently honored: Rick Lahey and Martha Brubaker were awarded the Hall of Fame; Olga Petryszyn and Betty Richmond were awarded Sagamore Club; Jim Powell was awarded 100% Club; Martha Brubaker, Jennifer Fedor, Rick Lahey, Katie Phillips, and Jim Thompson were awarded Executive Club; and Rick Lahey was awarded Highest Contributor Children's Miracle Network for Northwest Indiana.

Lia sophia has recognized Joann Keck, of Griffith, as a Monthly Achiever for ranking among the top sales representatives in the organization. Kathleen Gillum, of Chesterton; Jessica Kirk, of Portage; Michelle Cavazos, of East Chicago; and Lisa Sarwacinski, of Hammond, have earned top honors for the company's Excellent Beginnings Program Achievers.

Richard Navarro has joined the South Shore Health & Rehabilitation team in Gary as the business development director.
