EAST CHICAGO | Catholic Charities, in partnership with Bank On Northwest Indiana, is offering a series of four workshops on financial literacy, beginning Friday and open to anyone interested in improving financial literacy skills.
The Workshops will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at 3901 Fir Street, East Chicago, on the following days:
- Friday - Bank On It: The benefits of have a checking/savings account.
- Nov. 9 -To Your Credit: How your credit history will affect your credit future;
- Dec. 14 - Money Matters: How to keep track of your money;
- Jan. 11 - Identity Theft: What you need to know to protect your identity.
Financial literacy classes will be taught by trained bank personnel and Catholic Charities’ staff will facilitate the process.
