Centier Bank has expanded and relocated one of its branches in Valparaiso.
The bank's south Valparaiso office has officially moved to its new location at 360 Morthland Drive on U.S. 30, west of a Walgreens pharmacy. Construction had begun in the fall.
The old location was two blocks east, at the corner of Ind. 2 and Morthland Drive, which is what U.S. 30 is known as when it passes through Valparaiso.
Merillville-based Centier replaced the 19-year-old bank branch on Morthland Drive with a new building that includes an expanded lobby, offices and additional drive-through lanes. The 2,348-square-foot branch, one of Centier's five Valparaiso locations, also has a 24-hour ATM.
"Since opening a branch on the south side of Valparaiso in 1994, millions of people have passed this location," said Centier President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Schrage. "We service many commuters who travel along the Route 30 corridor daily, so expanding our drive-through services offers many clients an added convenience. We're not moving far – just two blocks west, so this presents us the opportunity to stay in a high-visibility, high-traffic area."
