CHICAGO | UAL Corp., the parent company of United Airlines, on Monday named Kate Gebo vice president of corporate real estate. Gebo is a native of Crown Point.
With United since 1998, Gebo previously was managing director of procurement and has held several leadership positions in both corporate real estate and strategic sourcing. In her new role, she will oversee all planning, engineering and construction efforts for United’s domestic and international airport and off-airport facilities. In addition, she also will manage lease and landing fee obligations for the company.
“We are continuing to strengthen our leadership team, with employees who bring breadth and depth of knowledge from within our company and other industries,” Pete McDonald, United’s chief administrative officer, said. “Kate brings extensive experience in corporate real estate, and we look forward to her leading the organization as we relocate our operations center to the Willis Tower next year."
