3 PUC engineering programs gain reaccreditation
HAMMOND | Purdue University Calumet's computer, electrical and mechanical engineering baccalaureate degree programs have been awarded reaccreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the college reported.
"Reaccreditation is important to the university and its students," said Daniel Suson, dean of the School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science.
"It provides an outside stamp of approval that reinforces the excellent education students receive in engineering at Purdue Calumet."
The accreditation process is conducted by approximately 1,500 ABET volunteers from the professional community and is intended to advance and assure professional education quality, the school reported.
