HAMMOND | The Hammond Development Corp., Urban Enterprise Academy and Northwest Indiana Reinvestment Alliance are offering training sessions to young adults who are interested in becoming business owners in the future.
The sessions are being offered to Hammond youths from ages 12 to 15 from July 22 to Aug. 2. These sessions are meant to benefit and expand the minds of young individuals who are looking to pursue entrepreneurship.
Students will be working with mentors who are business owners, learn about the issues of running a business and be offered a chance to participate in running a business simulation.
The Academy will meet each day from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on weekdays with lunch included. This program was conceived and designed with the NxLeveL objectives of: How to Be An Entrepreneur, Researching The Idea, Marketing, Building a Business, Accounting, and Cash Management. At the end of these 10 half day sessions, the students will participate in presentations covering the objectives they learned and their concepts.
